CELLIANT® Fiber Studies

CELLIANT has been shown in clinical studies to boost recovery, increase comfort and overall wellness, and provide a better night’s sleep.

Reduce Foot Pain: In 2009, Dr. Ian Gordon conducted the study, “Effect of Optically Modified Polyethylene Terephthalate Fiber Socks on Chronic Foot Pain”. Results showed a 2.7x greater reduction in pain for participants wearing products containing CELLIANT than those wearing placebo products.
Dr. Lawrence Lavery of Loyola Medical University Center in Illinois, conducted a study in 2003 that demonstrated an improvement in oxygenation could increase circulation sufficiently to eliminate leg pain.
In 2010, Dr. Marcel Hungs, director of the Center for Sleep Medicine at the University of California Irvine conducted a double-blind, controlled sleep study of the effects of CELLIANT mattress covers on reducing sleep disturbances of patients with chronic back pain. Significant results showed: median time spent awake after falling asleep and nocturnal awakenings, sleep efficiency improved, and time asleep indicated the sleep they experienced was more restful.*
*Results not achieved by all subjects in the study. Further studies are warranted before drawing conclusions as to CELLIANT sleep benefits.

Infrared Active Technology

Energy emitted from the body is in the form of heat and invisible infrared light. Once this energy is absorbed by CELLIANT’s blend of 13 different minerals embedded with CELLIANT yarn, it is reflected millions of times among the nano-particles and transformed into a form of infrared light the body can use as recycled energy. This infrared light is then reflected back into the body approximately 4 centimeters deep, where it increases nitric oxide production.
Nitric oxide acts as a signalling molecule that triggers increased microcirculation of the capillary bed, accelerating the citric acid cycle by making more oxygen available for production of ATP within the mitochondria (the cell’s energy factories). Transcutaneous oxygen levels, as measured on a TCP02 machine, increase by as much as 5%-30%. With more ATP available, cells are able to function at a higher level.
The transfer of oxygen from the blood to the muscle tissues increase, and the muscles can then metabolize more glucose in to ATP, or muscle fuel.
